Rob Dyer Joins Capcom as the Company's New COO
Capcom announced earlier today that they've officially hired Rob Dyer to join the company as the new Chief Operating Officer. Dyer has had a long run in the video game industry working for several companies, including Sony. The position will have him reporting to CEO Kiichiro Urata, and will have him in charge of all the "publishing business including sales, marketing, and operations in the Americas." With more than 25 years of experience in the video game industry, Dyer has held various leadership roles with companies such as Sony Computer Entertainment America, Zynga, Eidos Interactive, Crave Entertainment Group and more. He has had extensive experience leading initiatives on a global scale to drive sales and growth.
"Rob's strategic acumen, deep industry knowledge and established networks will play a vital role for Capcom's business goals," said Kiichiro Urata. "He will help steer the success of our incredible portfolio of popular brands such as Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, and more."
