Sea of Thieves Gets a Beta Extension Due to Login Issues

Good news for those of you wishing to play more Sea Of Thieves' beta! Rare has sent out a notice on Twitter and in a press release letting players know that the beta has officially been extended due to the fact that people are having login issues. Below is a tweet sent out by the company today as well as finer details emailed out to the media by Microsoft about the extension. This is really awesome news because even as we've posted our own coverage of the beta, we too have been experiencing issues getting online. We hope to see you at sea this week!

In light of certain players experiencing issues accessing the Closed Beta, Rare has officially extended the "Sea of Thieves" Closed Beta by two days. The play session will now end on Wednesday, January 31 at 12 a.m. PST / 8 a.m. GMT. We want to ensure that anyone who has missed out on any time has a chance to enjoy the Closed Beta to its fullest.
