Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Welcomes a New Fighter with Kage
Capcom took advantage of the Capcom Cup tournament today to show off a new fighter for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition named Kage. The character was revealed by Executive Producer Yoshinori Ono at the end of the night with a fresh new trailer and the news that he was available for purchase today for $6. We have a little more info about him below along with his trailer, but this is the first Season 4 character to be revealed and added to the roster. If this is a sign of things to come, we're due for more powerful characters down the road that will probably shake up the tournament scene.
Kage, meaning "shadow," is the physical embodiment of the evil spirit, "Satsui no Hado," that could hypothetically overtake Ryu and turn him into the character Evil Ryu. Street Fighter V fans will recall Ryu overcame the "Satsui no Hado" in the General Story against Necalli, and regained control of his former self. "Satsui no Hado" is now back, and instead of overtaking Ryu's body has now found a way to manifest into its own physical form.
