Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Becomes Switch's Best Selling Fighting Game
Nintendo released a brand new set of sales this week showing that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has become the best selling fighting game on the Nintendo Switch. The company released brand new sales figures last week showing that the game has accumulated $13.81 million in revenue for the company, overtaking The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. It's in third place overall behind Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the best of the best on the Switch. But that's a hill it could climb as $1 million more would put it in second, and $3 million would put it on top.
A couple of outlets have claimed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has become the best selling fighting game of all time, which sounds cool, but is unfortunately untrue. It's not even the top-selling Smash Bros. game of all time, which goes to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U (AKA, Smash 4) which earned $14.85 million to date. While the top-selling fighting game of all time is still Street Fighter II with $15.5 million. Again, not a terrible hill to climb, but it's still out of reach. If people really want it there, you know what you have to do. Unless, you know, people start buying copies of Street Fighter II out of the blue.
