The Purrrrfect Shooter: We Are The "Cat Lady" At PAX West 2019
VIZ Media and Rose City Games brought with them the most adorable twin-stick shooter to PAX West 2019 in the form of Cat Lady. This is one of those games that the minute you see it, you either fall in love or thinks it's ridiculous. We went with the former back when the game was revealed in June, but this was the first time we got to play it. You take on the role of Ally who is roaming her grandma's home full of cats. There are good cats and bad cats, and it's up to you to plow your way through all the bad ones using your various weapons.
Each level has it's own color and theme going for it, with various enemies who have their own attack patterns you'll need to get used to. Like any twin-stick game, as you progress you'll be able to change guns and ammo, only the fun part about this is you're using a different cat for each gun. And yes, you will fall in love with them and get depressed when you have to leave one behind to get a better cat. The demo we played was only 10 minutes long but we fell in love with the pacing, the art style, and even the fun but kind of dumb story to the game. Cat Lady doesn't have a target release date yet, but as far as we're concerned, it should be out tomorrow. There is a beta you can sign up for on the game's website that starts on September 17th, with the beta itself running September 20th-22nd.
