The Sinking City Delayed Until Late June 2019

Bigben and Frogwares announced the delay of The Sinking City today. Thegame was originally scheduled for release on March 21, 2019, but the release has been pushed back to June 27, 2019.

The release was delayed in order for the game to launch in a month with fewer game releases and offer players the best game experience. While Bigben and Frogwares did not specify exactly what "the best possible game experience" meant, we can assume the game still needs some testing and last-minute fixes so its launch isn't plagued with issues like many recent releases. After all, March may be a rather crowded month for game releases these days, but June isn't much better.

The official description for the game reads:

Set in the '20s, The Sinking City is an adventure and investigation game inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, the master of horror. The player embodies Charles, a private detective who has just landed in Oakmont, Massachusetts to investigate the cause of an unprecedented supernatural flood. In this heavy and murky atmosphere, the player explores the town to discover what's behind whatever has taken hold of the town and the minds of its inhabitants.
The Sinking City will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 27, 2019.
