A Bunch Of Rumored Mass Effect: Andromeda Details May Have Leaked
So, take this all with a huge pinch of salt. I'm not endorsing these as true, and in fact I have my doubts. However, now you know that, here is some interesting speculation for the Mass Effect: Andromeda fire.
This video has turned up from AntarcticWildlife and is doing the rounds on Reddit. There really isn't a lot to back up the claims about leaked game details in the video, which are said to come from a source who has gotten time with the game in its early state. Still, take a look at this video, which goes through the potential information:
Bullet points of the video are:
- Two squad mates will accompany you like in previous games, a human and Krogan are described. They and you also have jet packs.
- Omnitool has combat uses, such as as shield function
- Destructible environments.
- A new ship, that you actually pilot yourself when travelling from planet to planet.
- The Mako makes a return
- The protagonist is called the Pathfinder and seems in charge of finding a new home for Humans and familiar alien races.
- Enemies appear to be a cross between 'Vorcha and Collectors' who are also piloting Cerberus ships for reasons unknown.
- An antagonist is a human, who is not N7. You can also choose to kill him or spare him at some point.
So… yeah.
Honestly, I have significant doubts about this, but at the same time, this is all backed up by previous information we've heard. The previous supposed leak contained a bunch of this information. The Pathfinder moniker and look for a new home is contained in there and we also got told a little about those two squad mates in there. The rest has been largely hinted at in trailers and other interviews about the game (that antagonist is new though).
I suppose the question becomes, does this other information back up these claims, or could they merely be a source tying together everything we potentially know about the game and then making a few logical leaps from there. I can't stand behind this confidently and say I don't think the latter is a possibly, or even likely.
Still, something to speculate on and come back to in time. I'll do a little digging and see what I can bring up on this.
