Blizzard Make $20 Million Off Hearthstone Every Month
Blizzard have long been the masters at roping in huge money on a month to month basis. Several million users still pay monthly subscriptions to the company to play World of Warcraft and that game is over a decade old.
Well, Hearthstone seems to be making them ludicrous amounts of money at the moment too. According to research group SuperData (via GameSpot), Hearthstone is currently raking in $20 million a month. The free to play card game reportedly saw a rise of 31% revenue after it moved onto mobile phones.
That is pretty staggering, and the Hearthstone addiction doesn't seem to be going away either. It's here to stay, and I'm sure Blizzartd won't have any problem with that.
