Bungie Say They Aren't Planning On Selling Game Changing Micro-Transactions
I've been very cautious about the micro-transactions in Destiny. They went into effect yesterday, and as of right now, they are only for emotes, which are pretty fun. I do worry that this will leave the door open to more game changing for transactions in the future though.
As reported by IGN, worryingly some players thought they might have data mined information on plans to sell Mouldering Shards, which improve the drops in the King's Fall raid. However, creative director on Destiny: the Taken King Luke Smith has taken to Twitter address these concerns:
However, there are still concerns about the future of where this could lead, as 'consumables' are referenced in the update. We will have to see how this plays out.
