A lot of people have a lot of opinions on Final Fantasy 7 Remake . Some people just want the graphics upgraded, others want Square Enix to implement more modern gameplay and some people just want the whole thing fiddled reworked.
Well, game director Tetsuya Nomura has been talking to OPM (via PSU), and he has let on that fans should expect pretty radical changes. In the interview, Nomura said:
We are bringing dramatic changes to the Final Fantasy VII Remake, so we're hoping that you'll look forward to additional information that we'll be able to release when the time comes.
And of course, that being said we want to clarify: we're not going to be changing it into a shooter or something like that. We are going to be bringing dramatic changes, but we want to make sure it's still recognizable.
Honestly, I just want the creators to make the game they want to make. If that includes a lot of changes to the game's mechanics, then I'm all for it. Bringing the title into the new age is important, although, admittedly very risky. Hopefully they get it right though.
