Get Your Hands On A Metal Gear Solid V Sahelanthropus Model Next April
Sahelanthropus is one of my favourite things in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Not only is it is a huge mech with a rather phallic gun, but it was also fun to hear the voice actors stumble over its pronunciation each time it was talked about.
Hideo Kojima has been tweeting pictures of models for the mech recently, and finally we have some concrete details on when we can get our hands on it. It's being made by Japanese toy maker Sentinel, and will stand at 28cm tall. It will run you ¥36,100, or $299.81, with it shipping in April 2016.
It's got a neat LED light on it to, to really sell that authentic look. That price is quite steep for something that stands at less than a foot tall, but I don't know if I'll be able to help myself. You can pre-order the model here.
Thanks Silconera!
