Have A Look At The Assassin's Creed Creator's Game That He Just Claimed Back From Ubisoft
Patrice Desilets, the creator of Assassin's Creed, left Ubisoft back in 2013, after previously returning to the company while at a stint in THQ. Before THQ went under, he worked on a game called Amsterdam: 1666, which he brought with him back to Ubisoft.. When he left Ubisoft the second time though, the property was left in the hands of the corporation, with Desilets trying to find a way to obtain it once again.
That came to pass over the last week, after Ubisoft (somewhat reluctantly) agreed to part with the IP and return it to Desilets. And now, we actually have a decent idea of what it would have looked like. Desilets showed off the first public footage of the game the other day in an intimate presentation and Brandon Sheffield caught video of it.
It looks rather bizarre, mixing Assassin's Creed, with dark magic and controlling animals. It's clearly rough footage, and based on a Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 game.
You can take a look at it here:
Do we ever see it rear its head again? That remains to be seen.
