Star Wars: Battlefront Is Aiming For A 'T' Rating

star_wars_battlefront_jakku_2-600x338Having played Star Wars: Battlefront at E3 and a bunch in the beta over the last few days, it does seem like a pretty 'safe' first person shooter. FPSs are violent by definition, but if you were going to play one with your kids or young teens, Battlefront feels like a safe bet.

In fact, that is exactly what DICE are aiming for. While the game still doesn't have a rating, the team are hoping that it can pick up a 'T' for Teens. They revealed their aims in a tweet to a fan saying:

The lack of blood, severed limbs and the like only add to that Star Wars authenticity for me. It's actually kind of refreshing to see a game aim for a 'T' rating, as so many seem to think success only comes with more blood and guts and the like. Sometimes though, you just don't need all of that.
