Star Wars: Battlefront Won't Have Voice Chat On PC
Voice chat seems to be something that has somewhat fallen to the wayside in recent years. Where as in the early days of massive online play, you couldn't get into a match without people chatting away (and screaming awful slurs at one another), but you just don't see many people using the functionality too much anymore.
That's why I don't think too many people are going to be upset to hear that the PC version of Star Wars: Battlefront won't support voice chat at all, DICE confirmed. However, if you are getting a team together and want to talk to them, the developer suggested using Skype or Team.Speak:
I really don't think this is that big a deal, as I know the vast majority of players won't be talking to their team most of the time. I'm sure there is a subset of fans who would like to use it, but using Skype seems like a pretty easy work around.
