Monday night is here and it's time for The SML Podcast here on Bleeding Cool!

SML 170 welcomes Ed Orman of Uppercut Games to discuss Submerged and Danger Dodgers! We talk Ed's history in games, the creation of Submerged and the coined term "relaxploration", previous Uppercut titles, and how Ed, as a ginger, is able to shoot lightning from his eyes to destroy his foes.

Featured games! Replay: VHS is Not Dead from Neko Entertainment is a solid time rewinding puzzle platformer that ramps up the difficulty quick. Gunscape from Blowfish Studios had a whole episode dedicated to it, but we gave it a verdict anyways. The Witch and The Hundred Knight: Revival Edition from NIS America is a PS4 re-release of the PS3 action RPG with added content and prettier visuals!

Episode 171 welcomes Hugh Monahan of Stellar Jockeys for a nice 90 minute conversation to discuss his title Brigador, the long development cycle, the lore and factions of the game, and the "Nickelback poster incident" that brought newfound attention to the title.

Tons of featured titles this show! Ironcast from Dreadbit and Ripstone takes incredibly strategic mech combat and tosses in some gem matching for an awesome experience that will kill you a lot. Action Henk from RageSquid and Curve Digital feels like the rebirth of Uniracers for a new generation with newly added butt sliding. Californium from Darjeeling, Nova Production, ARTE France, and Neko Entertainment lets you explore the incredible world of Philip K Dick. Zirkel from Marc-Andre Weibesahn and I Love My Circle from Joshua Barr are two great mobile titles worth checking out. Royal Defense: Invisible Threat from 8Floor picks up exactly where the first Royal Defense leaves off which is perfect for fans of the first game. Pirate Solitaire, also from 8Floor, mixes mahjong with poker cards to extremely addictive results.
