West Of Loathing Quietly Got Some New DLC Content Today
We were big fans of West Of Loathing when the game came out back in 2017, even beat it all the way through a couple times just for the hell of it. Ever since then we've been begging for DLC content from developer Asymmetric, but the closest we got was a card back at PAX West that gave us a code to add "Horse Armor". Which basically was a skin for your horse that makes it look like its wearing a suit of armor, but has no added value. Well… our prayers got answered this week as the devs quietly released a new batch of content for the game called "Reckonin' at Gun Manor".
The DLC will put a ghost carriage in Dirtwater and take you to a mansion where you'll be trying to get some ghosts out of the place, among other things. We've already played it for an hour today and it's got the same brand of humor and charm as the main West Of Loathing game, so you'll feel at home. You can currently get the DLC on Steam only for $5, and the game + DLC has been marked down as part of Steam's Lunar Sale currently happening. No word yet when it will come to the Nintendo Switch version.
