An Alan Wake Xbox One Port Has Been Discussed By The Developer

I never played Remedy's Alan Wake, but the divisiveness of the title isn't lost on me. It seems very much like a love it or hate it kind of game and those are always the most interesting ones.

I might have a reason to jump into it soon too. Speaking to Polygon when contemplating an Xbox One port , Remedy's chief creative officer Sam Lake said:

I would love that to happen. Nothing has happened yet, but we are discussing this possibility with Microsoft.

I hope it happens, we'll see

The game was published by Microsoft though, so when referencing the possibility of a PlayStation 4 or Wii U port, Lake said it was:

Highly unlikely

The new generation up-scales are getting a little tired now. While I think a game like Alan Wake, which could do with a second bite of the apple, is the perfect candidate, it still doesn't change just how many old games we are seeing on the consoles. Hopefully the trend is coming to a stop as developers are finally getting to work on their new properties.
