Gladiator II starts off very slow, but once things get going in the second half of the film, it improves dramatically, but it can't compare to the gravitas of its predecessor.

The Blonde Badasses Meet In This New Clip From The Defenders
Another day closer to The Defenders and we have another clip. This time we get to see blonde badasses Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll). The trailers have already implied that Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver) is not above hurting friends and family to get to the various members of the Defenders. If she wanted to get to Jessica or Matt (and to some extent even Frank when it comes to Karen) it would be to threaten Trish and Karen.
Trish can defend herself all right but this show would get a ton of bonus point if she let Trish become a hero in her own right. I want to see her punch a ninja while Karen takes whatever is nearby and hits them with it. Both of these ladies have shown they're willing to be violent or even kill if their lives are on the line. It would be a nice change of pace if the show let the two of them defend themselves.
Summary: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team up to fight crime in New York City.
Marvel's The Defenders, created by Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez, stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and Sigourney Weaver. It will stream to Netflix on August 18th.
