Britt Robertson Is Brad Bird's Star Of Tomorrowland

tomorrowlandBrad Bird has selected his protagonist for Tomorrowland – or at least, through the fog of near secrecy, she looks like the protagonist. According to Disney, Britt Robertson has been cast in the role of Casey Newton, a high school girl who gets involved with a martial-arts adept little girl robot and George Clooney's still mysterious character.

Robertson has a lot of buzz, largely from her performance in The First Time. With Bird's blessing she seems about on the verge of a real breakthrough.

Tomorrowland is set for release in December of next year. The involvement of Brad Bird alone will keep us buzzing until then, I'm sure.
