Cast Photo For Marvel's Agents Of SHIELD Season 2 Sets Things Up
ABC has released a cast photo for the second season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and you can probably read a lot into this particular photo. Here is my take:
Start with Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) being directly in the middle looking forward shows he's in charge and picking the direction of the new version of SHIELD. Then look to the left and we see Skye (Chloe Bennet) now dressed as an agent. She's also looking to the side like there is something there. Triplett (B.J. Britt) is behind her having her back while Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) stands with Coulson but doesn't trust Skye. Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) is in the back, out of the way but staring at his partner while Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) is drifting away from the group towards the exit. Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) is on the opposite side, in the shadows looking at us sideways.
And of course Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) and Alphonso "Mac" Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) are back by the door because they just go here.
Agents of SHIELD kicks off their second season on September 23rd.
