Christopher Nolan Reveals He Won't be Directing Bond 25
We're getting another Bond movie late next year, and Daniel Craig is returning top to the role despite previously saying he wouldn't do it again. However, that's all we know so far, which is a little odd. The Bond movies have a notoriously long shooting schedule, and the next movie is due out in less than a year and a half. If they are going to make that release date, they'll need to start moving forward soon. The first step to moving forward would be to get a director, and one of the people on the rumored short list has just taken his name off.
Christopher Nolan is in the middle of award season with Dunkirk when he was asked during a radio interview with BBC 4 (via Entertainment Weekly) if he was going to be the director for Bond 25.
"I won't be the man," he said during the segment. "No, categorically. I think every time they hire a new director I'm rumored to be doing it."
Other directors that have been rumored to be eyeing the next Bond sequel are Yann Demange, Denis Villeneuve, David MacKenzie, and Paul McGuigan.
The next Bond movie, still only known as Bond 25, will be released on November 8th, 2019.
