Dolph Lundgren's The Big Bad For Arrow Season 5 Flashbacks
Just as Baron Reiter was the big bad from the season four flashbacks, as Oliver Queen heads to Russia to keep his promise to Taiana, he will have to deal with the Bratva and a new big bad played by Dolph Lundgren. Executive Producer Wendy Mericle talked with TVLine about what they have planed for the Rocky IV star.
[Dolph's character] is a government strongman. He is scary and formidable — and he had a role in some stuff with Taiana's family last season. He's a bit of a badass.
She also spoke about how the creative team got on the same page for dealing with the Russian Mob.
We're dealing with the Bratva, and the Bratva is, as we all know, a pretty interesting and messed-up institution. I might get shot for saying that, but hey! Everyone on staff watched [the 2007 film] Eastern Promises. I watched documentaries about Bratva and how they operate in Russian prisons
Arrow season five premiers October 5th.
