'Godzilla: King Of The Monsters' Casts Bradley Whitford
The kaiju-verse (it'll catch on) has gained another cast members. We got a director for Godzilla vs. Kong the other day but we have Godzilla: King of the Monsters coming out first. We already have a few cast members but, according to Variety, we have another one in the form of Bradley Whitford. Whitford is best known for his role on The West Wing, for which he won an Emmy, and he also won another Emmy for his guest role on Transparent. He was also in Cabin in the Woods and was most recently seen in Get Out earlier this year.
The studio is currently keeping the plot and Whitford's roles tightly under wraps. It's being directed by Michael Doughetry with a script by Zach Shields. The kaiju-verse was kicked off in 2014 and got its second entry this year with Kong: Skull Island. Legendary and Warner Bros are creating a shared universe for their monsters in the veins of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Extended Universe.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be directed by Michael Dougherty and stars Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Thomas Middleditch, Vera Farmiga, and O'Shea Jackson Jr. It will be released on March 22, 2019.
Godzilla vs Kong will be directed by Adam Wingard and will be released on May 22, 2020.
