The 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' David Hasselhoff Music Video Is So Disco It Hurts
It is getting aggressively disco in here. James Gunn has been teasing a David Hasselhoff-starring music video to go along with the song "Inferno" from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 for a little while now, and he's finally delivered the goods. Gunn has said that this "may be the greatest thing [he's] ever worked on."
He's been teasing us for over a month now, and now he's finally made good on his word:
The music video is so overwhelmingly disco it hurts. It takes a minute, because most of the cast is dressed up in outfits where you don't even recognize them, to realize that the entire GOTG cast is in this music video.
It really shows that Gunn must have a ton of creative freedom at Marvel that they let him get away with making this. There aren't many directors who can say "yeah, my bosses let me make an insane disco music video because we all thought it would be funny and a ton of fun as a special feature on the home release." If there's one thing for sure, it's that it looks like no one is having more fun working in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than James Gunn.
