Legendary is Making an Animosity Movie

Legendary and AfterShock, sitting in a tree, m-a-k-i-n-g an Animosity movie! That's the news today, coming from punctuality-obsessed Hollywood gossip rag Deadline.

Legendary Entertainment has optioned the movie rights for Animosity, the AfterShock comic book by Marguerite Bennett and Rafael de Latorre. AfterShock president Lee Kramer and CEO Jon Kramer will produce the film, with Legendary's Jon Silk keeping an eye on things to make sure everyone gets along and we don't up with Kramer vs– you know what, forget it. The successful comic book has spawned multiple volumes, spin-offs, and one-shots, some of which we may be imagining, including AnimosityAnimosity: The Rise, Animosity: Evolution, World of Animosity, and Crisis of Infinite Animosities.

Here's the story, from the description of Animosity Year One:

One day, for no reason, the Animals woke up. They started thinking. They started talking. They started taking REVENGE.

The world is plunged into chaos as the newly-intelligent Animals fight humanity, and simply fight each other, for their own life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. In the midst of the turmoil is Jesse, an 11-year-old girl, and her dog, Sandor, who is devoted to her and her protection. One year after the incident, Jesse and Sandor begin a cross-country journey to find Jesse's half-brother, Adam, who is living in San Francisco.

In response to the news, President Donald Trump definitely, totally tweeted: "Democrats want animals to storm America's borders for revenge. By the way animals are some very bad people. Why doesn't the fake news press ask Crooked Hillary about collusion with revenge-seeking animals? So Unfair! #BUILDTHEWALL"
