The Crown Season 2 Trailer Gives First Look At Michael C. Hall As JFK
Netflix has released a trailer for the new season of The Crown that will be debuting this December. The new season focuses on the humiliating rumors swirling around Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) as the uneasy social order created after the end of World War II starts to crumble. The season starts with Her Majesty's Armed Forces engaged in an illegal war in Egypt and ends with the downfall of Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, her third prime minister, after a devastating scandal. All of this as things move towards the 1960s. Elizabeth also seems to be feeling abandoned by Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (Matt Smith).
The clip also gives us our first look at Michael C. Hall (Dexter) as John F. Kennedy and Jodi Balfour (Bomb Girls) as Jackie O. This is Hall's first television work, other than voiceovers, since his eight-year run on Dexter ended in 2013. He spent some of that time on stage performing in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
The Crown season 2 premiers December 8th on Netflix.
