Penelope Mitchell Of Hemlock Grove Added To The Hellboy Reboot

The Hellboy reboot has added another cast member. Penelope Mitchell of Hemslock Grove and The Vampire Diaries has joined the cast according to Deadline.

David Harbour stars as Hellboy who, along with his team of paranormal researchers, try to save the world from a medieval sorceress who wants to destroy humankind. Mitchell will play the role of Ganeida, an elder witch who has decided that Nimue's wrath has gone on for too long and must be stopped.

The Hellboy reboot has been in the news since Ed Skrein stepped down when he found out the character he was playing was supposed to be Asian. The reactions from fans about Skrien stepping down has been mostly positive with many fans giving him kudos for walking away from a job to make a point.

We don't know much about the reboot yet and they are still in the midst of casting. There are rumors they wanted to start shooting sometime next month so we can expect the steady stream of casting announcements to continue.

Hellboy, directed by Neil Marshall, will star David Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Ian McShane. It currently has a 2018 release date.
