Reggie Austin Talks Being Intangible On Agent Carter
One of the interesting twists already on the second season of Marvel's Agent Carter is the inclusion of Dr. Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin). Wilkes starts out as a scientist working on Zero Matter for Isondyne and getting involved with helping Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). But when he fights over possession of the Zero Matter with Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett) and it breaks containment, he is left invisible and intangible. Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) is able to temporarily fix the first part, leaving a incorporeal scientist trying to help.
The character of Wilkes is from the comics, Tales of Suspense #25 to be exact. In the comic Wilkes is contacted by the Russians to make an invisibility ray which he tests on himself. It makes him both invisible and intangible, leaving him unable to work the ray to undue the effects or contact anyone to help.
In the clip below, Austin talks about playing the character and just how he fits into the new season.
Marvel's Agent Carter airs Tuesdays at 9 PM on ABC.
