Spoiler Alert! Star Wars: Episode VIII Dialogue From Upcoming Trailer

Rumor Confidence Level: 3.5 (out of 5, with 1 meaning wishful thinking, and 5 being rock solid)

Let me make readers clear before we get into this one; the reason that I included the rating above is to try to help you assess the size of the gain of salt to take this rumor with. The 3.5 out of 5 is on the order of I wouldn't be surprised that it's correct, and it likely is, but at the same time I wouldn't bet Rogue One tickets on it.

So the story is this – Mike Zeroh has been given information from various sources who have seen part of all of the rough cut of a supposed upcoming teaser or trailer for Star Wars: Episode VIII. The information contains a line delivered from Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to Rey (Daisy Ridley):

You contain the spark that will rekindle the fire.

The reading being taken from it is that it means she holds the key to restarting the Jedi Order. That's a bit of a huge leap if you ask me, but at the same time the idea that she'll wind up being a Jedi should come as a shock to exactly no one.

It could also mean that she will restart what appears to be the stalled elimination of the Empire and it's influence. It could also means that Luke needs her to fire up his bbq pit.

So you can hear his report firsthand, here's the video from YouTube:

Now this isn't the first time that this fan has come up with some purported Episode VIII leaks. Back in June it was reported that he had received an email from a source that there would be a scene where Luke dismantles in spectacular fashion a lightsaber down to it's constituent parts, including the energy crystals.

In the end, this is all good and well, but it doesn't really tell us much about the storyline, or any particular character arcs that haven't already been telegraphed from a mile off. Rey and/or Finn becoming a Jedi (no kidding), Luke coming back into the fight (also, pretty much a given), and the rebellion coming back into full swing.

But is any tidbit too small? Is there ever a time where it's just leave it be? Naw, it's only a few weeks away and Star Wars season is entering full swing, so we'll take whatever we can get.
