State Of Decay Is Coming To Xbox One In May

On paper, I'm pretty surprised that State of Decay is so well liked. I don't mean that as a slight against the game, but because it's a bit of an oddity.  The game is single player and for the genre, that is exceedingly rare. A lot of zombie survival games are practically built on player interaction, be it for robbing other players for their goods or working as a team to survive in a landscape,

The game is extremely well regarded by those who play it though, and now Undead Labs are hoping to scoop up more players in a second dip into the pool. We've now learnt that the game is coming to the Xbox One via Xbox Wire and will be with us on May 1st.

I do worry that rereleases are becoming too common. That's an understatement too. Remasters were being announced too commonly six months ago! The next-gen consoles are getting a little too stuck in the past now for my liking. I also worry that developers are relying too much on a rerelease of games to foot the bill of past disappointments.

I do want to give State of Decay a fair shake though. Hopefully I'll get my hands on before the game comes out in May.
