Supergirl Thanks Fans For Full Season As Gotham Catches Up
On Monday we got word that Supergirl got an additional 7 episodes ordered giving the freshman series a full season. Well, members of the cast Chyler Leigh, Melissa Benoist and David Harewood took to Youtube to say thank you to the fans.
The series has been doing well even though it has been pitted against another DC Comic related series Gotham. But to the surprise of many, both shows are thriving. Fox, who has abandoned just looking at the overnight raitings in favor of the Live+3 and Live+7, saw their Batman themed series hit a 2.1 rating when taking in the +3 data, matching the Superman themed CBS series exactly.
This not only puts a bright light on the importance of including the data from the +3 and +7 when looking at a series, but it also weakens the arguments that television is over-saturated with comic-related properties.
