Vincent D'Onofrio Doesn't Know When Kingpin Will Return, Makes Headlines Anyway

Vincent D'Onofrio has revealed when The Kingpin will be returning to Marvel's Netflix Universe!!!

Well, not really, but if you were looking at the headlines on major comics and entertainment sites today, you would certainly think he has. Vincent "D'Onofrio Discusses When Kingpin Will Return To The MCU," reported Heroic Hollywood, while Eisner award winning website Comic Book Resources wrote, "Daredevil's D'Onofrio Discusses Wilson Fisk's Netflix Return." "Vincent D'Onofrio On When Kingpin Will Return," said ComicBook.com. All of these stories pointed back to an interview with Collider, whose headline read, "Vincent D'Onofrio on His "Complicated" Wizard in 'Emerald City' and the Return of Wilson Fisk."

But looking at what D'Onofrio actually said in the interview, when asked when the character will return:

He will, eventually. Honestly, I wish I knew 'cause I could plan my year better. I know he will come back, I just don't know when. I can't wait to find out.

He can't wait to find out? Has he checked the internet, because we just saw a headline that… oh.

So we're as clueless as Vincent D'Onofrio as to when The Kingpin will be returning, but at least we hope you'll recognize that, while Bleeding Cool didn't shy away from scraping a clickbait article out of this interview, at least we were up front about it in our headline. Here's some other stuff D'Onofrio said about superhero movies as a consolation prize:

I'm totally into the Marvel stuff, big time. I want to do Marvel, all the time. I love it so much 'cause they're so creative over there. They let you bring this whole new thing to an iconic thing that they invented. It's just so much fun. I love it to death. I want to see Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman. There's something about those movies. I dig the shit out of them. I've been tweeting back and forth with James Gunn, about doing something with him because I love Guardians of the Galaxy so much.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
