Well, here is something that should put a couple people's minds at ease when it comes to Ego.
It has just been revealed that Ego, The Living Planet will indeed have a human form by way of a look at his costume on the show floor. This was revealed by Marvel's Ryan Penagos and if my keen eye tells me something, this is not planet shaped.

However, it is worth keeping in mind, James Gunn has said that he is a 'planet, sort of', so expect Kurt Russell to come in many forms.
