Age of X-Man Archives
When Marvel relaunched Uncanny X-Men in November of 2018, the publisher knew they had less than a year before Jonathan Hickman would arrive to relaunch the franchise again in July of 2019. Of course, that is way too long to go without a relaunch of some sort at Marvel, so writers Lonnie Nadler and Zac Thompson conceived of The Age of X-Man, a crossover event that saw most of the X-Men transported to an alternate reality created by Nate Grey where everyone in the world is a mutant and peace on Earth has been achieved through the outlawing of love and emotional connections between people.
Of course, the X-Men are one of the horniest superteams in the history of comics, so chaos quickly broke out, with the former supervillain Apocalypse leading a hippie love cult preaching the message that X-Men founder Charles Xavier had many lovers and knew well the power of raw eroticism. In addition to framing books Age of X-Men Alpha and Age of X-Men Omega, the Age of X-Men consists of six concurrent mini-series exploring different aspects of the alternate reality: Marvelous X-Men, NextGen, Apocalypse and the X-Tracts, The X-Tremists, Amazing Nightcrawler, and Prisoner X.
Now…
Horniest X-Men Comic – Age of X-Man: The X-Tremists
When Marvel killed off all the X-Men at the end of X-Men Disassembled and launched the Age of X-Man crossover event, we weren't expecting much behind a third or fourth generation Age of Apocalypse retread But by handing some of the titles off to fresh creative teams[...]
Read on, true believers…
Sworn to sell comics for Marvel executives who feared and hated the fact that Fox owned their movie rights, The Uncanny X-Men suffered great indignities, but with a corporate merger on the way, the X-Men can finally get back to doing what they do best: being objectively the best franchise in all of comics.
AGE OF X-MAN[...]
All of this time, we've been under the impression that the Age of X-Man event takes place in an alternate universe But in this preview of Age of X-Man Omega, X-Man himself tells us this is not the case! Of course, some might consider him an unreliable narrator X-Man explains how this whole mess started…
And[...]
Sinister, now has a scar on her head and a cerebro helmet in her hand and announces she's made everyone on Earth forget mutants ever existed.
There's still one more issue of Uncanny X-Men before the Hickboot, which is good, because there's still some more mutants Matthew Rosenberg hasn't killed off yet.
AGE OF X-MAN NEXTGEN #5[...]
One more Age of X-Man mini-series is wrapping up next week as Age of X-Man: Apocalypse and the X-Tracts #5 sees the titular X-Tracts dealing with the revelation that their leader, Apocalypse, has been working with Nate Grey and even killed off his own son!
And as this shocking news sinks in, another revelation follows… how[...]
Sunspot died, along with how many other characters these last few months? Sabretooth is kind sorta dead? Do we really believe they'll all stay dead in the reboot?

The Age of X-Man is coming to a close already, ahead of Jonathan Hickman's line-wide relaunch of the X-Men That means it's time to wrap things up in all of these mini-series This week, the final issue of Age of X-Man: Amazing Nightcrawler is hitting stands, and the titular Nightcrawler finds himself facing down pretty[...]
The last issue of Age of X-Man: NextGen ended with an explosion, as Anole apparently succeeded in carrying out his terrorist plot to blow up the Hope Summers Memorial Library Surely, the casualties were immense, and there's no way Anole himself could have survived This preview of Age of X-Man: NextGen #5 picks up right[...]
He tells her that all the X-Men are dead after the end of X-Men Disassembled (though of course we know they've all gone to the Age of X-Man) He lets Emma go, telling her he will be in touch.
Later still, Emma is shopping in New York with Marrow when Callahan and his troops arrive, demanding[...]
The Age of X-Man is falling apart, which is, of course, to be expected, since all of the minis are nearing their final issues In this week's Apocalypse and the X-Tracts #4, we find X-Tract Eyeboy in the midst of a pleasant dream…
But things quickly take a turn for the worse when Eyeboy sees something[...]

Things are starting to unravel for Department X in this preview of Age of X-Man: X-Tremists #4, by Leah Williams and Georges Jeanty Last issue, Blob fired Monetta from the team for her recent behavior, but also because of his developing and highly illegal relationship with Psylocke You can catch up with that in X-ual[...]
In the world of Age of X-Man, Nightcrawler is a fancy Hollywood movie star, an idle of millions But in this preview of Age of X-Man: Amazing Nightcrawler #4, Nightcrawler ventures into the territory of a much more low-brow form of entertainment: professional wrestling At least, that's what appears to be going on in the[...]
Instead, I complain about how Marvel won't let Chris Claremont write any X-books.
Now, let's get on with the recaps…

In the Age of X-Man X-over event, Nate Gray has created a world where sex and romantic relationships are forbidden, and where anyone who breaks the rules gets disappeared, and everyone else mindwiped to forget they ever existed And the only person who knows the truth is… Glob Herman?! Well, it turns out that Glob[...]
Next week's Age of X-Man: Marvelous X-Men #4 takes a look at an important question: does Charle Xavier f***? Of course, X-Men fans already know the answer, which is, yes, Charles Xavier f***s a lot But it's something that the mutants living in Nate Grey's repressive dystopia seem to have forgotten Luckily, Apocalypse and his X-Tracts[...]
We've often called Age of X-Man: Prisoner X the best out of all the Age of X-Man mini-series It's a psychological thriller set in a prison and starring longtime fan-favorite X-Men character Bishop, written by Vita Ayala with art by German Peralta, and makes excellent use of the concept of an alternate reality "utopia" where[...]
Major X is the greasy cheeseburger of X-Men comics with a side of super-sized fries, and it's delicious.
And how could we not award it the Wolverine's Weiner X-Pick of the Week after that?
Congratulations to the creative team.

And in the Age of X-Man, relationships are illegal, so there's not much hope for these two getting back together there Or is there?
In this preview of Age of X-Man: Apocalypse and the X-Tracts #3, we see Peter inspired by his recent run-ins with Apocalypse's hippie love cult, and particularly hippie cult member Kitty Pryde,[...]
If it helps make the case that Marvel should cancel their plans to cancel this run, I'll point out that this was definitely the best X-book of the week and therefore the winner of this coveted award…
Congratulations to the creative team.

In the Age of X-Man, personal relationships, especially romantic and sexual ones, are outlawed, and Department X is tasked with tracking down anyone who engages in one and reformatting their brains That's why it was so shocking when, in Age of X-Man: X-Tremists #2, Department X member Blob revealed his secret crush on Psylocke, the[...]
I can't do a mid-event ranking of the Age of X-Man books before getting through the current week's issues, so let's do the recaps first, and then afterward, I'll tell you what I think of the Age of X-Man so far.

Age of X-Man: Amazing Nightcrawler #3 is in stores this week, from writer Seanan McGuire (whose name PreviewsWorld will one day get right in their solicitations) and artist Juan Frigeri And a preview of that issue features a shocking mother vs son battle picking up from last issue's cliffhanger, which saw Mystique waiting for Nightcrawler[...]
The Age of X-Man may be a dystopia where all human connection is outlawed, but there are still some things they get right Take, for instance, the response of the X-Men to a hurricane in the Bahamas in this preview of Age of X-Man: Marvelous X-Men #3…
Storm is well-suited to this kind of work, given[...]
But in this preview of next week's Age of X-Man: Apocalypse and the X-Tracts #2, it's Kitty who's robbing the cradle… literally.
It starts when Apocalypse and Unveil bust Kitty our of prison, requiring her help for an important mission…
It seems he needs Kitty's phasing powers to break into a hatchery, which is where all mutant[...]
So I think that's what we're doing from now on.
