I must say—panels at NYCC are becoming the same as SDCC One has to camp way ahead of time in order to make it to the panels you do want to see Thankfully I did luck out and most panels/screenings I had to sit through were pretty interesting
But back to topic[...]

I always get interesting tales from New York Comic Con, as I get face to face with certain people who wait all year to tell me stuff. Such as a producer
If you didn't get to the NYCC last weekend, DC has released a video of the Dark Knight 30th Anniversary panel which talked about the upcoming new Dark Knight III: The Master Race and included a special surprise visit by Frank Miller along with panel guests Brian Azzarello, Andy Kubert, Klaus Janson, Jim Lee and host[...]
Fourty minutes later we were finally shuffled through the line and told to leave with absolutely no explanation and only a surly security guard swearing at the people asking for information.
Hundreds of fans waited in line for a panel that had "sold out" before they even entered and NYCC didn't even send staff down to[...]

I came away from NYCC at the start of this week with one overwhelming feeling: there wasn't much in the way of major comics announcements.
Sure, there were announcements, such as Marvel's Spider-Women and Avengers: Standoff, and there was more information about recently revealed projects, and the odd bit of tantalizing new artwork –[...]
Shot at NYCC this past week, these are upcoming statues from Shadowbox Toys from David Gallaher and Steve Ellis' High Moon comic book – which indicate not only that the wereworlf western comic is getting a statue line, but also that we may be getting more of the comic book in 2016 as well….

One of the things I love about New York Comic Con (NYCC)…and many other conventions…is their panel schedule because panels are probably the most important part of a convention A strong programming schedule makes the difference between a "convention" and a glorified public relations events…it gives you opportunities to learn new things and[...]
Attendees were greeted by a large image of a panel from Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's New X-Men, featuring Emma Frost, which was pointed out as an important representation of the importance of the growing diversity of creators and characters in comics.
With a panel including Marjorie Liu, Jeremy Whitley, Shannon Watters, Joey Stern, Amber Garza[...]
I stayed at the New Yorker hotel for NYCC, now owned by the Wyndham group I could only see improvements, such as the free fast speed Wi-fi Others however were less than impressed Comic book creator Justin Jordan reports on his own experience.

There are some times when luck is not on our sides while lining up at NYCC and it does not matter for how long you might have lined up: you might not make it in But for once it worked on my favor While I barely got the chance to roam around the[...]

The four-day badges sold out very quickly, and the theory is that NYCC deliberately sold a lot more single day badges.
If you buy a single day badge, you go to the show for the full day If you buy a four day badge, you may turn up late one day, leave early another, even skip[...]
Truly, she is a cosplayer that needs no introduction, but I decided to give her one anyway! I managed to get some one on one time with her, and asked her some questions about NYCC.
So as you can imagine, someone with as much fame and prestige as Yaya appears at just about every big name[...]
NYCC really doesn't like cosplay weapons… or broomsticks.
11 Free LexCorp WiFi? Hmm, if this was a plan to make us hate Lex Luthor, then it succeeded (I still followed him on Twitter for the free charger).
12 Rule 63 (opposite gender) cosplay is huge this year.
