Supergirl: Jon Cryer BDay Brings Star Wars, Star Trek Together & More

With The CW's Supergirl returning for the next episode of its sixth and final season next week, we have some pretty cool stuff lined up for this preview- from a full preview package for "Lost Souls" Azie Tesfai offering more insight into Kelly Olsen's role this season. But first, we're honored to kick things off with none other than Jon Cryer aka Lex Luthor. So Cryer's birthday was this week, and we're sure that he received a ton of really great gifts and well-wishes from friends, family, and fans from around the world. But Cryer made it a point of taking to Twitter to highlight two well-wishes in particular- and we understand why. Because when Star Wars star Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker and Star Trek star William Shatner aka James Kirk both take to social media to wish you well on your special day? Well, that special day becomes a whole lot more special.

Here's a look at Cryer's tweet that proves he did exactly what we would do- screencap both of those birthday wishes and share them with the world with all of the geek pride we could muster:

In the following clip, Tesfai discusses the more pro-active role Kelly Olsen is taking and how the character is becoming a more hands-on member of the super-team:

Now here's a look at the preview images, episode overview, and promo for next week's "Lost Souls":
