Guardians Of The Galaxy Toys Show Us How The Film Might Join Up With Avengers 2…

By Will Romine

Hello Friends!

As a professional geek, from time to time I get sent boxes o' awesome. Today was one of those times. Our good friends at Hasbro sent me some wonderful product samples from their Guardians of the Galaxy line. Thought I'd treat you all to an unboxing.

First of all, the box itself is worth the price of admission. Look at that. I'm surprised that it remained unstolen.

The spread is amazing. There's a ROCKET RACOON mask with moving mouth and eyebrows, a BIG BLASTIN' ROCKET RACCOON electronic action figure, the MILANO starship, STARLORD'S QUAD BLASTER, and other assorted figures.

Perhaps the most spoileriffic item in this plastic horn o' plenty is this

What's that you say? An Iron Man figure in a GOTG figure series? Surely you must be mistaken. Now, it's not unheard of for a toy company to pad a movie license toy line with characters that will not appear in the upcoming film. However, look closely. Doesn't that Iron Man armor look suspiciously like someone we might have just recently met?

That's right! Either this is a repaint (prepaint?) of an Ultron figure in the eventual Avengers 2 line or Hasbro is trying to tell us that there might be an Iron Man cameo in GOTG, or a GOTG cameo in Avengers 2. Maybe this is the armor that leads to the creation of Ultron. Maybe everything, maybe nothing at all. Maybe I should just be happy I got a free box of toys and leave the speculation for the message boards.
