BioWare Updates Release Date For 'Anthem' On Social Media
Yesterday we reported on BioWare's latest IP reveal, Anthem, which looks pretty awesome from the trailer that was released. You're most likely going to see more at Microsoft's press conference, depending on what they end up doing with the ever-elusive "Project Scorpio" reveal. But before that happens, BioWare posted a quick update to the actual release of the game.
The initial trailer on YouTube said Anthem would be set for Spring 2018. Turns out that may have been a miscalculation. The game's official Twitter account now has it set for the fall of 2018, which in hindsight seems much more realistic, since we're finding out more info on Microsoft's system and other announcements from their press conference as this post is being written up.
For what it's worth, BioWare did a fantastic job of keeping Anthem quiet and under the radar the entire time we've been waiting to hear news about it. So it's very likely that the company had initial plans for the game and then things changed as they got closer to E3 and the announcement. We'll see what happens in the coming days with E3, but we prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to game release news in June.
