Fanboy Rampage: Jon Malin Responds To Criticism Of Blink's Costume On Cable #153 Cover

Welcome to another edition of the ongoing saga known as…

Fanboy Rampage: Jon Malin Responds To Criticism Of Blink's Costume On Cable #153 Cover

Artist Jon Malin responded Wednesday to online criticism of his cover for Cable #153, which featured the shocking revelation that X-Men character Blink has undergone a botched breast enlargement procedure wherein the silicone implants were accidentally filled with four-times the amount of silicone and also it wasn't silicone it was gamma-irradiated anti-gravity fluid and also her skin turned bright magenta and also everyone's feet are made of pancake batter. BOOM! We'll take our no-prize, Marvel. Pay up!

No?

Ok, well, here, have a look for yourself then:

Malin retweeted our article yesterday, in which we said:

Somehow, the costume acts like a push-up bra, shoving Blink's boobs upward and toward the center, except with no structural support in the costume's design to accomplish this amazing feat. Normally, Bleeding Cool would advise artists not to draw while their pencil is so full of lead, but in this case, we can probably all agree that Malin was able to pull it off with class and dignity.

Malin used the critique as an opportunity to promote Wednesday's release of Cable #150:

Malin responded:

Then he quoted one of Bleeding Cool's beloved commenters:

Whose sentiment the great Sir Robert Liefeld himself endorsed:

Something Malin thought was…

But oh noes! Back in the replies of Malin's original response tweet, a classic Fanboy Rampage had broken out, between Malin and a fan:

The opponents battled valiantly, reigning down tweet after tweet upon one another, but alas, no victor would be crowned this night…

This epic clash is still going on right now, but we've got to send this article to press. Perhaps a sequel tomorrow? We've got to fill the clicks with something now that Nick Spencer has left public Twitter.

Fanboy Rampage was a blog by Graeme "Graham" McMillan dedicated to the funniest, most ludicrous and most inappropriate comic book back-and-forths online. McMillan has moved on now, becoming a proper journalist for the likes of The Hollywood Reporter and Wired but he gave permission to Bleeding Cool to revive his great creation.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
