Britt Baker Launches New Women's Division at #AEW

Following the opening featuring Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks, All Elite Wrestling Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes made her way to the stage to reveal that AEW will indeed feature a women's division.

"We want it to be a strong women's division with the best female wrestlers in the entire world," Rhodes said, before talking about touring the world and wrestling top women's wrestlers. Rhodes said that the company sat down with top Japanese female wrestlers just last week. As to the pay, Rhodes insisted there would be no gender gap. "They will be paid equally. There's no sliding scale."

Rhodes then brought out Dr. Britt Baker, the first signee for that division.

Baker revealed that on the same day she received her diploma in dentistry and signed with AEW.
