We are taking on the horrors of the night as we continue our LEGO Haunted Mansion build, and up next is the arrival of an iconic monster. Long before Hollywood stitched bolts into his neck and turned him green, Frankenstein's monster was born on a stormy night in 1816 inside the imagination of a teenager. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus isn't just a classic horror novel; it's the blueprint for science fiction and horror that helped deliver one of the most tragic monster tales ever told. This 737-piece set has a 3-in-1 design, allowing fans to build a Haunted Mansion, Ghost Ship, and or Spooky Train, but we are staying with the classics this time. As we finish up the first floor of this creepy house, Frankenstein's monster awakens to play, with LEGO delivering a fun minifig for the set.

Victor Frankenstein was a brilliant but reckless scientist who brought a creature to life from stolen corpses. However, he was horrified by what he created and abandoned it, leaving the monster to deal with loneliness, rejection, and the question of what it really means to be human. All these elements are built into this haunted mansion, with an eerie design, boarded windows, and other fun elements to help keep the Halloween season alive all year. We just added a dusty old clock, which nicely adds to that classic aesthetic of iconic haunted houses. Of course, LEGO was sure to include a tiny graveyard out front, which is complete with a variety of tombstones. There is even a pumpkin to bring some life to it, along with a skeleton hand rising up from the grave, as every haunted house needs a little unfinished business.

The bottom floor is starting to be finished, along with the front porch that is crooked, creaky, and perfect for mysterious visitors who vanish before they can answer the door. The added boarded window elements are truly a nice addition to the build and help capture that creepy "stay out" vibe. As for Frankenstein's monster, he still remains a symbol of misunderstood horror, a reminder that sometimes the real monster is the one who created the chaos. So when you're building your haunted house, be sure to make plenty of room for a monster who just wants to belong. We are almost finished with the LEGO Creator Haunted Mansion set as we build the final monster, as the Vampire Queen makes her entrance.
