Mark Millar Resurrects David Icke Conspiracy Theories For Christmas
Yesterday, we learnt the secret identity of Mark Millar's surprise comic book, out just in time for Christmas. Today we actually get to read it and… it seems a little familiar.
Mark Millar is probably the more prominent comic book industry opponent of membership of the European Union. So his new (surprise) American Jesus series with Peter Gross, a prequel to the original Chosen series, sees the gestation of the new Anti-Christ figure by a young mother experiencing a virgin pregnancy, and being told that the child is the new Messiah – rather than the opposite. A kind of a Good Place version of The Omen. And she gets the whole story of the people who are trying to stop the new Messiah – little knowing that actually it is they who are behind her offspring-to-be, a birth she is not destined to survive. So the world to come is explained to her in detail.
Mark Millar has been hanging out with David Icke a lot you know… including hosing a $100 a head gala that caused some controversy…
And you can't have one conspiracy theory without another. And as the European Union's existence is all part of the Anti-Christ's plan – and is also the reason one of my family members voted to Leave – there is more to come.
Because, of course, the Twin Towers have to come down to herald the coming of the Anti-Christ too…

American Jesus #1 by Mark Millar and Peter Gross is published today from Image Comics. I bought mine from Piranha Comics in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Piranha Comics is a small south London comic store chain with a small south-east store in Kingston-Upon Thames's market centre, which runs Magic The Gathering nights on Fridays, and a larger south-west store in Bromley, which also runs Magic nights and has an extensive back issue collection and online store. If you are in the neighbourhood, check them out.
