We're just a couple of weeks away from the first trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness, as well as the IMAX-exclusive nine minute prologue. Personally, I was expecting that to be the next we saw or heard about the thing, but Paramount issued an official blurb while I was sleeping.
Marvel Comics – The Still Untold Story?
Bob Greenberger, long time editor DC, executive at Marvel and journalist for Comics Scene has been reading Sean Howe's Marvel Comics: The Untold Story and has a few issues. Blaming Sean's bias of interest in the seventies as missing out much in decades before and after, he specifically targets a lack of interest in what DC were doing at the time as a motivating force for much of Marvel's actions.

I understand that after Final Order Cut Off, the order numbers for Amazing Spider-Man #700 stands at a quarter of a million copies, at $7.99 each. Which works out as two million dollars retail. It used a number of tiered variant covers (including a 1:200 version) but nothing like, say Uncanny Avengers #1 or the deep discounting of… well, also Uncany Avengers #1.

But still, over 100,000… ) IDW's latest licenced property is the hugely popular cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and by the looks of pre-orders, it's going to be HUGE. Take that, Marvel NOW and DC New 52!
