Will Miles Morales Star In The Ultimate Spider-Man Cartoon? (UPDATE: NO)
Being written by Brian Michael Bendis and produced by Marvel Studios, the new Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon is set to air on Disney XD next year. I've mentioned this before but it might be worth repeating. Peter Parker does not appear in the footage seen so far. He is not mentioned, he is not named, he does not take his mask off.
He's been mentioned as being in high school by producer Jeph Loeb. And he's being voiced by white actor Drake Bell. But could this be a feint?
In the light of the recent news, will the animated Ultimate Spider-Man feature Miles Morales under the suit instead of Peter Parker?
Okay, it may be a silly idea. I've had sillier ideas. I mean it would be a shame to let all this publicity go to waste on just the comic, wouldn't it. We have a Disney black princess now. Is it time for a Disney Blatino Spider-Man in their schedules?
Or maybe, just maybe, we could look to a season two replacement?
(UPDATE: I've had assurance that it will be Peter Parker under the mask in the upcoming cartoon. As for season two, who can say…)
