Bethesda Fakes Out Rage 2 Fans with Andrew W.K.
To kick off the Bethesda E3 conference, Global Vice President Pete Hines took the stage to deliver the usual "We are Bethesda, please love us" message about how the fans, developers, and behind-the-scenes staff are all part of the Bethesda family. He then transitioned into gently mocking Walmart Canada for revealing Rage 2 early, and hinted at giving us a new trailer for the game.
And as the lights went down and the Rage 2 logo went up, Andrew W.K. took the stage because he has become the official voice of Rage. Then we got some developer chat about the game, and all fans wanted was a new trailer. But hey, now we know the dev team understands that the driving force behind Rage 2 is indeed our reliance on hate to fuel our very existence.
Rage 2 will be playable at the Bethesda booth during E3.
And then finally, it arrived. The trailer. Which featured actual in-engine gameplay footage. And a tease of the Collector's Edition, which comes with a creepy talking head wall decoration. Insanity not included.
Because they know we're already out of our minds with rage, we don't need packaged insanity.
