Earth Defense Force 5 Drops Emergency Trailer

We're going to get another round of killing bugs the size of tanks who are invading for no good reason when Earth Defense Force 5 drops later this year. D3 Publisher just released a brand new trailer for the game, which is due out sometime in the summer of 2017.

Taking a page out of Godzilla films, the trailer presents the attacks as a newscast with a warped sensibility as they present the creatures as a harmless nuisance. It's been three years since the last EDF game, and if the footage is any indication, they've cleaned up a lot of the spawn bugs and constant glitching you see with multiple enemies on the map at once. The game will hit Japan first before coming to North America, which is why we're lucky to have an English translation to the video to see all the humor thrown into this trailer. We'll keep you apprised as to when we'll see a U.S. release date.
