Final Fantasy XV Is The Fastest Selling Game In The Series
By most accounts, Final Fantasy XV was an incredibly important installment for the franchise. There has been some word that the series might be in trouble if the game doesn't sell, making some fans curious.
Right now, it doesn't look like there is too much to be worried about on that front though. Square Enix have said that the game sold a whopping 5 million copies on launch day. That's more than a lot of AAA games make… ever. This makes it the fastest selling entry in the franchise by some way (although, it's worth noting, this is the first time it has ever had a simultaneous global launch).
These sales are humongous, and it's great to see. From what I've been able to get played, the game is full of ideas. It's always nice to see that be rewarded, and it's especially nice to see it all come together after a decade long production.
