Watch A Few Minutes Of 'The Walking Dead: March To War' In Action
Disruptor Beam shared a short gameplay video for their upcoming game, The Walking Dead: March To War this morning. The game is a strategic multiplayer war game, and seems pretty straightforward from what we can see in today's video. Players will build up their base on a shared map alongside other players like you see in most strategy game. Players will also need to recruit and level up survivors and council members (made of familiar faces) to create a powerful army and fight alongside their friends against other communities formed by other players.
For the lore fiends, The Walking Dead: March To War takes place just before Volume 20 of the comics, All Out War. This is the time where Rick and his crew from Alexandria have started forming alliances with other communities like The Kingdom and Hilltop to fight Negan and the Saviors. In the game, however, a giant herd of walkers arrives just as things were starting to heat up between the factions, forcing things to slow down a bit in the war between the factions, and forcing many players like you into the Washington, DC area to avoid the walkers. Because a war game isn't fun unless it has as many different factions as possible.
The game has several different troop types, PVP, and even decision point dilemmas. You can take a gander at an in-depth breakdown from Disruptor Beam themselves here, or watch the gameplay video below.
