Gearbox head Randy Pitchford has, in a rather roundabout way, seemingly suggested that Borderlands 3 won't be at E3 2018, despite store listings suggesting otherwise.
Borderlands 3 was one of the game's supposedly leaked with the Walmart Canada listing debacle the other week. With the reveal of Rage 2 prior to E3 giving that all a bit of credence, it's not unreasonable to think everything on that list would be coming to pass in its entirety… but maybe that isn't the case.
Gearbox's Randy Pitchford has taken to Twitter and in a thread about magic (he has a big love of stage magic), and in it, he seemingly said that Borderlands 3 won't be at the big show next month. In a rather roundabout but clear tweet, he said:
Now, this is a bizarre set of tweets, but the message does seem to convey that the game won't be at E3 this year. At the same time, it's such a bizarre way to phrase it, perhaps there is enough wiggle room here. Borderlands 3 is in quotation marks, so maybe the game will have some other name. I mean, now I'm falling into the exact thing he was tweeting about.
It's pretty clear, from statements made previously, the game is coming at some point, so fans shouldn't worry. It would be nice to see some of it though. Either way, I hope it does turn up at the show or not long after.
