Just Cause 4 Apex Engine Trailer Shows Off the "Most Interactive, Extreme Weather Simulations Ever Seen in a Videogame"

We've seen the Just Cause 4 E3 announcement trailer. We've seen it a second time at the Square Enix presentation. The game promises plenty of what the franchise is known for, as well as an enhanced, customizable grapple for Rico Rodriguez (eat your heart out, Bionic Commando!) and overhauled vehicles, blah blah blah. More importantly, however, as highlighted in the just-released Apex Engine Reveal Trailer, this game offers "the most interactive, extreme weather simulations ever seen in a videogame," or in case you missed it from the previous trailers, freaking tornadoes. Will Just Cause 4 give players the freedom to abandon the main storyline and live out our… er, we mean their lifelong dream of role-playing as Bill Paxton in the movie Twister? We'd be shocked if somebody isn't already working on the mod.

Check out the trailer below, and keep up with our PC Gaming Show liveblog here.

The new Apex Engine underpins everything in Just Cause 4. It delivers the most interactive, extreme weather simulations ever seen in a videogame, complimented by incredible visuals, unparalleled physics and endless creative possibilities. The Apex Engine Trailer was exclusively revealed at the E3 2018 PC Gaming Show, hosted by PC Gamer.
